Cleaning, grinding, and smoothing welds

For grinding welds, fiber discs, flap discs, grinding discs, or ceramic abrasives are suitable. If polishing is required, start with the smallest possible grit to keep the number of smoothing stages to a minimum. For grinding fillet welds, we recommend the following tools:

• Carbide burrs
• Resin-bonded grinding points
• Grinding bodies
• Grinding fingers
• Flap discs
• Pressed fiber fleece discs

These tools and materials ensure efficient and gentle surface and weld processing, achieving optimal results. Cleaning discs, grinding points, fiber discs, grinding discs, grinding belts, and flap wheels are used to remove slag, welding spatter, and discoloration. These include:
